The third stage: the examination and delivery

You will assign contractors who apply for a NOC directly on the electricity company website using the contractor login details.

The builder or contractor must provide the trade license, and there is no service fee to apply.

You will have to pay a one-time connection fee of AED 1,500 when you use solar energy with DEWA bill payment.

Two important terms require some clarification.

 

What is the building number of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority?

The building number can usually be found at the entrance gate of the property where you are looking to rent.

 

What is Ejari?

My rent is different from the building number. Once you have chosen an apartment or villa in Dubai,

you will have to register the lease contract online from the Land Department. This is known as Ejari and signing up through this process is simple.

You only need details such as the terms of the agreement and the name of the rental company.

Once these details are entered, the online Ejari system will assign you a unique bar code that will remain valid for the duration of the contract.

 

Fee included

Regardless of the property, you are required to pay a DEWA bill paymentactivation fee of AED 110 (for small meters),

which is non-refundable. For apartments, the security deposit is AED 2,000, while it is AED 4,000 for villas.

In addition, there will also be an additional knowledge and innovation fee to be paid.
